Description of Deliverables
This RFP is an invitation to submit Proposals for the provision of Security Services as per the deliverables listed throughout Part 2 of this RFP.
Location of Work
Services are required within Downtown Victoria and surrounding neighborhoods. The specific address of the primary service location will be provided to the successful Proponent. The primary service location contains 147 units of supported housing for individuals who were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Hours of Work
Services are required 24 hours per day, Monday to Sunday, including statutory holidays.
Requirements
The following duties are expected to be completed throughout the duration of the contract:
Deliverables
- Provide street-based security and overdose patrol at the prevention site 24/7
- Monitor and patrol neighborhood surroundings
- Respond to ad-hoc calls
- Pick up needles whilst on patrol
- Respond to emergency situations with a sense of urgency and maintain open communication
- Report all incidents to the Security Administrator
Qualifications & Experience
- Proponent’s staff who are providing the required service, as per this RFP, must hold current First Aid & Naloxone training.
- Experience resolving incidents involving individuals suffering from mental health issues, addiction and victims of abuse.
