Broadband Service Improvements for Sudbury, Sudbury East and West Nipissing
This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor (s) to upgrade broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved/underserved areas in Sudbury, Sudbury East and West Nipissing. Specifically, The City of Greater Sudbury, The Town of Killarney, The Municipality of French River, The Municipality of St. Charles, The Municipality of Markstay-Warren, Nipissing First Nation, Dokis First Nation, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Whitefish Lake First Nation), Wahnapitei First Nation and a portion of Sudbury, Unorganized, North Part that is contained within the boundaries of The City of Greater Sudbury, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, The Town of Killarney, The Municipality of French River, The Municipality of St. Charles and The Municipality of Markstay-Warren.
Blue Sky Net is a regional technology development organization, part of Blue Sky Economic Growth Corporation, contracted by FedNor, the Northern Ontario regional development organization for the Government of Canada. BSN’s goal is to enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the Districts of Nipissing, District of Parry Sound, Sudbury East and Manitoulin Island. For the purposes of this RFP Blue Sky Net has received (or are in the process of gathering) of support from the above noted municipalities and First Nations.
Vendor (s) have the sole responsibility to register their intention to bid to ensure they receive any addendum or notifications regarding this RFP. A softcopy of the complete bid submission must be submitted no later than 11:59 P.M. local time, Feb 24th 2020. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. Vendors may elect to submit hardcopy proposals or additional information.
