NOTE: The award of this Contract shall be conditional upon the approval of funding by the Government of Canada through the Department of Indigenous Services Canada.
Tenders are invited from General Contractors for the Construction of the Fox Lake Solid Waste Landfill for the Little Red River Cree Nation. Sealed Tenders will be received at the office of the Consulting Engineer up to 2:00 p.m., M.S.T. Monday, February 17th, 2020 and will be opened immediately thereafter.
The work includes:
.1 Construction of a HDPE-lined solid waste landfill site, including approx. 90,000 cu.m. of common excavation and miscellaneous earthwork, 28,000 sq.m.of 60 mil HDPE liner, leachate collection and disposal system, as well as all related site grading, ditching, access road and granular surfacing.
.2 Supply and installation of all related site features, including street lights, chain link perimeter fencing and signage;
.3 Construction of a maintenance building. Note that the tender will include a base bid price for a wood-framed building, with an additional price for the building to be a pre-engineered steel building.
.4 Provision of roads for ingress and egress to the location of all work required;
.5 Clean-up of site;
.6 Repair of defects for one year after completion of the work.
General Contractors may obtain Contract Documents from the Office of the Consulting Engineers for a deposit of One Hundred and Fifty ($150.00) Dollars, which will be refunded provided that the Contract Documents are returned in good condition within 10 days of closing of Tenders.
Each Tender must be on the forms provided and be accompanied by a certified cheque or bid bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Tendered Amount.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and will not necessarily accept the lowest Tender.
