The City of Lacombe invites the submission of proposals from yard waste (compostable) contractors to load and transport stockpiled material throughout the year for a term of three (3) years (with two (2) year option of extension).
The successful proponent will be the Contractor who is able to provide a system most favourable to the City that includes an overall cost for hauling and disposing of the yard waste material. The successful proponent will be recommended to Council for consideration of an ongoing contract with the City of Lacombe. All contractual arrangements (including invoicing, scheduling, and contract management) will be between the City of Lacombe and the Contractor.
The City reserves the right to waive formalities, reject any or all responses, or accept the response deemed most favourable to the City. The lowest or any responses may not necessarily be accepted. Variations from these specifications that do not, in the opinion of The City of Lacombe, adversely affect the performance of the system will not necessarily result in disqualification.
