REQUEST for INFORMATION: ADVERTISING ON TRANSIT PROPERTIES - OC TRANSPO
OBJECTIVES OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
The Transportation Services Department of the City of Ottawa, referred to as “the City” herein after, is seeking information from advertising suppliers on transit advertising on the O-Train Line 1 system (also known as “the Confederation Line”).
The purpose of the RFI stage is to engage the advertising community to assess transit advertising market conditions, new advertising opportunities, and potential future RFP considerations.
The RFI will function as an open invitation to experienced advertising firms to:
1. Provide feedback by responding in writing to the "Written Responses by the Respondents" contained in Annex B; and
2. Attend Information Sessions with City staff and its consultants
This RFI is intended to solicit information only. The preparation and issuance of this RFI is not intended to create any legal obligations between the Respondents and the City. This RFI is solely intended to confirm the strategic direction for a potential future procurement process.
INQUIRIES
Unlike regulations pertaining to the release of a formal bid solicitation it is not the intention of this RFI to restrict communication in any way between the City and potential proponents. Ongoing discussions and communications between the City and these interested parties prior to the release of a potential formal bid solicitation are not only welcomed, but also encouraged.
All inquiries regarding this RFI are to be directed to the Administrative Authority specified herein. Inquiries should be received in writing (e-mail) no later than Tuesday, 17 November 2020. All inquiries received, and the answers as provided by the Project Authority will be provided to all Respondents by way of written addenda without naming the source of the inquiry. Addenda may be issued throughout the period of the RFI, with the last addendum issued no later than, Thursday, 18 November 2020.
