The City of Quesnel invites proposals from qualified firms to prepare a Community Child Care Inventory and Action Plan.
As the City of Quesnel works to attract and retain young families to the community, we must ensure we have the resources in place to meet the needs of this demographic. While some relevant policy exists in the Zoning Bylaw, no recent studies have been completed relating to the availability and need for child care in the Quesnel area.
This project will inventory existing child care spaces, assess the need and set targets for additional spaces, and define an action plan to reach those targets as a community over the next decade. The inventory and action plan will cover the City of Quesnel and surrounding area (North Cariboo).
The funding for this project has been provided by the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development through the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM).
