The CODC Construction Opportunities Development Council Inc. (“CODC”) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote unionized construction and maintenance services in the Province of Saskatchewan. The CODC is comprised of Saskatchewan Building Trade unions (craft-based) and their partner unionized contractors and the contractor associations. In addition to advocacy, the CODC also provides industry policy development and a variety of training.
One of the training programs that the CODC offers to its members is an introduction to Indigenous Awareness, in partnership with the Canada’s Building Trades under the Build Together initiative.
We are seeking a contracted facilitator(s) to deliver and refine our established three module training courses to our unions, contractors, stakeholders and workforce on a planned and ad-hoc basis. The training has been offered in 3-hour sessions both in-person and virtually. The three modules are:
• MODULE 1: History of Indigenous People
• MODULE 2: Indigenous Classification, Proper Terminology, and Contemporary Issues
• MODULE 3: Industry Solutions: Recruitment and Retention
The training is offered on a regular basis; however, the delivery of those courses will depend on having sufficient registrations for each class.
