BUILDING DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER ECOLE CATHOLIQUE ST CHARLES SCHOOL, LOCATE AT 120 KENT AVENUE IN TIMMINS ON.
On behalf of the Centre sante Communautaire de Timmins (CSCT); with the RFP, ELB Project Management and Consulting, is seeking proposals for the demolition of the building located at 120 Kent Avenue in Timmins ON. The demolition is Phase 1, in preparation for Phase 2, a new build CSCT health care centre. CSCT provides primary health care, illness prevention and management, community care services and health promotion through an inter professional team to optimize the health outcomes for the Francophone community in the greater Timmins area. The Centre commits to adopt a leadership role and work collaboratively with community partners to foster the social, mental, and physical health of the Francophone residents of Timmins and surrounding communities.
The existing building was built in 1973. The structure is 32,052 sq. ft. and consists of: a partial basement (8,942 sq. ft.), retaining walls, main floor (10,210 sq. ft.) and second floor (12,900 sq. ft.). The site varies in elevations substantially (+/- 4.5m from South to North along Preston St.). 1.3 The retaining walls will remain, and excavation area is to be infilled in preparation for the construction of a new building in 2023. A Designated Substance Report accompanies the RFP.
Due to seasonal time constraints, Prequalification with CCDC 11 is including in the tender documents.
