Description

Reconstruction of a section of Kenogami Road.

Work will include but not limited to:

Mobilization and Demobilization
Place and maintain detour signage
Establish traffic/pedestrian control and environmental protection.
Complete pre-construction survey layout
Remove entire asphalt roadway (full depth) including excavation to underside of new Granular ‘B’ sub-base, to limits indicated on drawings or as directed by the contract administrator.
Dispose of materials off-site at designated disposal areas to be identified by the contract administrator. Except for asphalt, all disposal areas will be within a 10km radius of the project site Asphalt will not be accepted by the Township or at the local landfill site and Contractor will be responsible for arranging a disposal site for all asphalt.
Complete rock & boulder excavation as required
Increase existing asphalt roadway width (2 lanes) from 7.0m± to 8.8m
Install new Granular `B' sub-base material, Granular `A' base material and provide one-50mm lift of HL 3 asphalt to roadway.
Replace sections of storm sewer, as indicated.
Replace catch basins, catch basin leads & catchbasin manholes, as indicated and re-establish all existing connection into structures
Replace sections of sanitary sewer, as indicated
Remove all shared sanitary connections from main to wye connections, which are anticipated to extend beyond property lines and install new, individual 150mm PVC SDR 28 sanitary connections c/w cleanout to sewer main.
Replace manholes, as indicated and re-establish all existing connection into structures
Establish temporary potable water system, including testing, as required.
Remove and replace sections of existing watermain and appurtenances
Remove exiting fire hydrants & install new 3-way fire hydrants c/w appurtenances
(Relocation of existing 3-way fire hydrants c/w new appurtenances is a possible alternative)
Complete watermain crossing
Construct new building water services c/w appurtenances from new watermain and connect to existing water service
Replace concrete curb and gutter c/w as indicated
Replace sections of sidewalks, as indicated
Relocate existing light standards as directed by the contract administrator.
Install topsoil and sod, as indicated
Reconstruct disturbed driveway approaches, walkways, etc.
Reconstruct all surface features disturbed during construction
All work as indicated on the Drawing and Specifications
