The Chief and Council of the Neskantaga First Nation are calling tenders for construction of a water treatment plant upgrade. The works are located immediately adjacent to the existing water treatment plant in the Neskantaga First Nation community in Lansdowne House, Ontario.
The site is accessible by air or winter roads only. Because of this, some equipment was pre-purchased and shipped to site on the 2017 winter road.
The project works must be completed by May 30, 2018. Sealed tenders will be received up to 11:00 a.m. (CDT) on June 22, 2017 at the office of JR Cousin Consultants Ltd. (JRCC), 91A Scurfield Blvd. Winnipeg, MB.
Works generally include:
- 200 m2 wood frame building addition c/w new concrete slab
- Installation of pre-purchased equipment, including:
- Water treatment unit, c/w SCADA system
- Chemical feed system
- UV disinfection
- Distribution pumping system
- VFD pump control
- Genset
- Modifications to existing plant building
- Conversion of existing slow sand filter tankage to reservoir storage
- Mechanical works
- Electrical works
A mandatory pre-tender meeting and test holes will be completed onsite on June 14, 2017. Contractors are to confirm their attendance by 4 pm (CDT) on June 9, 2017 to Gord Wickham of Wickham Consulting - gord@wickhamconsulting.com.
Charter flights will be arranged from both Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. Contractors are responsible to pay their portion of the charter costs.
Tender documents are available from JRCC starting at 1:00 p.m. (CDT), June 1, 2017. One hardcopy complete with a digital copy is available for a non-refundable deposit of $200.00. Digital copies only (on CD/DVD) are available for a non-refundable deposit of $20.00 per copy.
