DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL SERVICES – VARIOUS MANITOBA LOCATIONS
Purpose/Scope of the Work
This includes the provision of environmental soil services in various Manitoba locations, whereby Manitoba Hydro haul materials offsite to Contractor’s facility and the Contractor carry out the Work, as follows:
Item 1 - Disposal of impacted soil / slurry containing Petroleum Hydrocarbons where contaminant levels do not exceed the CCME Industrial Land Use Guidelines.
Item 2 - Disposal of impacted soil / slurry containing Petroleum Hydrocarbons where contaminant levels exceed the CCME Industrial Land Use Guidelines.
Item 3 - Disposal of impacted soil / slurry containing various contaminants such as Metals, PCBs, PAH's etc. Where contaminant levels do not exceed CCME Industrial Land Use Guidelines.
Item 4 - Disposal of impacted soil / slurry containing various contaminants such as Metals, PCBs, PAH's etc. Where contaminant levels exceed CCME Industrial Land Use Guidelines.
Ittem 5 - Disposal of concrete (broken up and steel removed) containing potential Petroleum Hydrocarbons and PCB's below CCME Industrial Land Use Guidelines.
Item 6 - Disposal of wood poles treated with Creosote or PCP (pentachlorophenol).

Pass/Fail Criteria:
Facility must have licence and/or permit to operate a waste disposal facility within the Province of Manitoba.
