Description

Scope of Work:
The MMTP design work is substantially complete for the three (3) major station projects at Dorsey Station, Glenboro Station, and Riel Station. The scope of work for this RFS will include involvement in, or sole completion of some combination of the following outstanding work associated with the MMTP project:

Dorsey Station
Under the direction of the MMTP Dorsey Station Project Manager Design Lead:

Participate in the design checking process to complete final checks for the ~1200 drawing design package.
Complete mark-ups to correct errors found
Assist in project material specification & support procurement
Complete additional engineering related tasks as identified
Note: All associated drafting services will be provided my Manitoba Hydro

Glenboro Station:
Under the direction of the MMTP Glenboro Station Project Manager Design Lead:

Subsequent to completion of the detailed design, a project change has been issued by the Project Planner to procure new major apparatus rather than relocate and utilize existing apparatus for the purpose of construction schedule compression. The remaining work consists of completing drawing revisions to rework and incorporate the new apparatus into the previously completed design.

Riel Station:
Under the direction of the MMTP Riel Station Project Manager Design Lead:

The protection & controls design for Riel has been divided into two major components as follows, and completed by two separate consultants/contractors:
- Component #1: Design of protection/control panels, cabling internal to the control building
- Component #2: Design of exterior field cabling, switchyard components, and termination racks (termination racks are considered the interface)

There are known misalignments between the two completed design components. There are likely to be additional unidentified misalignments as well. The remaining work consists of checking the interface of the two designs and completing drawing revisions to both designs to resolve all misalignments.

The Consultant’s resource will work on site at Manitoba Hydro Place, 360 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

On occasion, by mutual agreement between Manitoba Hydro and the Consultant, the Consultant may be permitted to work out of the Consultant’s office.

Manitoba Hydro’s normal business day is 7.92 hours per day. Additional working time may be required and will be reimbursed at regular time. The work is based on Manitoba Hydro’s 9 day work cycle.

The services required are as follow:

Service type 1: Two (2) Professional Engineering resources full time until approximately July 19, 2019.

Service type 2: Professional Engineering Support. The same two (2) Professional Engineering resources for technical support as needed when needed by Manitoba Hydro until approximately October 31, 2019. The work will be pre-approved in writing by Manitoba Hydro. Manitoba Hydro will endeavor to provide 48 hours’ notice for engineering support.
