DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
Under the general direction of Hydro’s Forestry Section, the Contractor will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the contracted right-of-way vegetation maintenance programs: mechanical clearing, herbicide tree control, and tree trimming and pruning. This includes continuous daily on-site presence including contractor supervision and coordination, engaging and notifying customers, daily inspection and quality control, and contractor performance monitoring. These duties will be performed for Customer Service Operations and/or various vegetation projects throughout the province.
The Contractor shall provide qualified staff to supervise the aforementioned projects and programs, as directed by Hydro. Staffing may be increased depending on the volume of work for a given year, as determined by Hydro. Manitoba Hydro may also request that supervision staff be provided by the contractor for short-term, temporary projects, on an as and when needed basis.
