RFP 2018-WFB - Bladder-Type Water-Filled Flood Barrier

Request for Proposal No.:  2018-WFB 
 
Purpose and Scope  –  The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Infrastructure, requests Proposals from Proponents meeting the requirements contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide approximately 120 bladder-type water-filled flood barriers. Each bladder-type water-filled flood barrier must be 36" in height and 100’ in length.

Manitoba currently has a number of mobile flood response units that can be deployed to various locations throughout the Province. These units include bladder-type water-filled flood barriers, which are generally used to provide rapid flood response protection of individual residences from overland flooding.

Through use, a portion of Manitoba’s inventory of bladder-type water-filled flood barriers in these units have been damaged beyond repair. Manitoba is seeking only new bladder-type water-filled flood barriers to replace the damaged barriers.Manitoba requires service for a two dimensional hydrodynamic model for the Local Urban District (LUD) of Pierson using MIKE-21 software in order to determine flood levels in and around Pierson.
