Description

The Public Utilities Board (Board) holds public hearings at various locations within the province. The majority of public hearings are held in Winnipeg, in the Board's Hearing Room.

On an annual basis, approximately six to eight hearings or technical conferences will require transcription services. Parties attending may range from ten to thirty identifiable persons and/or groups.

The average hearing or technical conference lasts from one to 30 days, with the average hearing for major applications lasting 15 days.

The Board requires:

a certified Verbatim Reporter(s);
recording services;
a daily verbatim transcription of the proceedings (possibly but no usually in both official languages);
verbatim transcription reproductions; and
photocopying services.

Simultaneous English/French translation services may occasionally be required. In such instances, the vendor will be required to provide the required verbatim transcripts in French and English.

The services set out herein will be made available to all parties to a Board hearing on the same conditions and rates as charged the Board.
