Project Overview:
Workplace Education Manitoba has been contracted by the Government of Canada build capacity across Canada in the area of customized workplace training. More specifically within the Relational Skills cluster of the Skills for Success framework. This is to address the need for skills to support areas including but not exclusive to diversity and inclusivity, staff retention, teamwork, staff and workplace mental health, safety, productivity, social capital, and customer service.
This project provides a comprehensive plan for Pan-Canadian solutions to address workforce challenges of Canadian workers and employers. This response will create increased capacity for Skills for Success Workplace delivery across Canada – including engagement, needs assessment, delivery response, and evaluation. Increased Skills for Success competency will provide foundational support to sustainability, scalability and consistency of delivery and outcomes for the workplaces.
Project Goals:
The main objective of is to support the implementation and roll out of the new Skills for Success framework (replacing the Essential Skills framework) within workplace delivery. More specifically within the Relational Skills cluster. This program includes curriculum development, workplace engagement, delivery and mentorship in support of these skills.
The goal is to train 120 facilitators across Canada over the next 4 years with implementation of this training into at least 60 workplaces. Each project to include evaluation strategies to measure skill gain and impact to the workplaces.
Scope of Work:
Workplace engagement is key to this project. The selected contractor(s) will have experience in engaging workplaces in relation to Essential Skills or Skills for Success. Additional requirements include:
- Engaging workplaces across Canada for project
- Mentorship of facilitators across Canada
- Supporting evaluation of project, as needed
