Mississippi River Power Corp. (MRPC) owns and operates a 4.6 MW run-of-river hydroelectric generating station in Almonte, Mississippi Mills, Ontario. The generators deliver three-phase energy at 4,160 V to this transformer; the transformer delivers output to the local grid at 44 kV. The new unit must be a one-for-one replacement of the existing unit, both physically and electrically. It is intended to install the new unit in place of the existing unit upon arrival; the existing unit will be kept as a spare.

Design Impedance: 5.5%
Losses: Seller shall specify expected transformer losses; this number shall be as low as possible.
Lightning Arrestors: Both HV and LV arrestors required as per drawing TB-7396 notes 3&4
Windings: Copper
Dielectric: As per CAN/CSA C50-14 (R2018) Class A. Seller to advise if FR3 is preferred.
Paint Colour: Grey. Additional paint to be supplied for touch-ups.
Specification: Must meet latest version of CSA C88-M90. Notwithstanding the requirements of C88-M90, angular displacement to match existing unit as shown in vector diagram on nameplate drawing TB-7397.
