Background info:
The Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) program at the University of Waterloo is primarily delivered at the Stratford campus. Currently, 90% of GBDA students reside in Waterloo and commute to the Stratford Campus of the University of Waterloo to attend classes. Existing public transportation options do not offer adequate scheduling or capacity to meet the needs of this student population.
To address this gap, the University of Waterloo has implemented a dedicated student school bus service operating at key intervals: morning departure from Waterloo to Stratford, mid-day turnaround from Waterloo to Stratford and back, and evening return from Stratford to Waterloo. This service is essential to ensuring reliable, safe, and timely transportation for GBDA students.
The University is seeking proposals from qualified transportation providers to support and potentially enhance this service model.
