Notice of Intended Procurement
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Wilfrid Laurier University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Laurier Network Rearchitecture as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The arrival of the digital era has dramatically transformed technology requirements and expectations in higher education. These transformations demand the development of innovative strategies to meet current and future technology needs and mitigate risks. Laurier is in the midst of an infrastructure network renewal project designed to review the current network architecture topology and assess internet connectivity. The project scope includes Laurier’s Wide Area Network (WAN), connection to the Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION), and commercial internet.
Please note that the outcome of this RFP may allow other members of the Ontario University Procurement Management Association (OUPMA), in good standing at the time of award, to use the outcome of this RFP to enter into contract with the firm chosen to design a network rearchitecture, provided it conforms primarily to the scope of this RFP in functionality. A separate agreement will need to be signed with that OUPMA member and Laurier holds no master agreement for these services, other than the primary Laurier agreement.
All documents must be downloaded from www.merx.com. if the firm doesn't have a yearly subscription, a fee of $49.95 is payable to Merx.
This is a negotiated RFP.
Only Tracey Ens (tens@wlu.ca) should be contacted regarding this RFP. No other person at the University should be contacted at risk of disqualification.
