CONSTRUCTION OF WASTE TRANSFER STATION – PAUL FIRST NATION

Paul First Nation is seeking bids from General Contractors interested in constructing a Waste Transfer Station in their community. Paul First Nation is located near Duffield, Alberta, approximately 65 km west of Edmonton. Funding for this project will be provided by the Department of Indigenous Services Canada (DISC).

The Project Management Team (PMT) includes representatives of the Owner (Paul First Nation), the funding agency (DISC) and the Consultant (Neegan Burnside Ltd.).

The Project will include the following works:

Survey layout, site preparation and earthworks;
Construction of a granular pad including elevated granular platform;
Supply and installation of waste storage facilities, bunkers, tanks and attendant’s trailer;
Construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall;
Fencing of the site; and
Design and construction of a prefabricated vehicle garage (provisional)

A mandatory pre-bidder’s site meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time) on Wednesday February 14, 2018. Details regarding the meeting location is provided in the Bid Documents. Interested Bidders shall note that the last day for submitting queries regarding the Bid Documents is 5:00 pm MST on March 1, 2018.

A copy of the Bid Documents can be obtained from the MERX Distribution Unit, telephone 1-800-964-6379 or via the internet at www.merx.com. MERX is the official and sole distributor of the Bid Documents including any addenda. If a Bidder obtains the Bid Documents by means other than through MERX, the accuracy of the document and the receipt of any addenda, if applicable, are not guaranteed.

Bids must be received at the address indicated in the Addendum No. 2 no later than 2:00 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time) on March 7, 2018.

At the discretion of the PMT, the lowest Bid Price, or any Bid will not necessarily be accepted.
