Description

Introduction
PMG Technologies is planning the following purchases of new equipment for Transport Canada. PMG Technologies is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Test Center (MVTC) located in Blainville, Québec.
New Equipment Required
A mobile deformable barrier (MDB) used for crash testing compliant with the following federal motor vehicle safety standards:
CMVSS/FMVSS 214 Side impact protection
and
CMVSS/FMVSS 301R Fuel System Integrity (rear)
The mobile barrier must be equipped with an on-board braking system which can be activated remotely and from a tape switch. No trailing cable will be accepted.
The barrier must comply completely with the requirements described for these two standards. A calibration certificate describing the compliance of the mobile barrier to these standards must be provided.
