The Northeast Region has been actively tying campground and park facilities into local municipal water and/or sanitary systems where logistically feasible and practical, to reduce operational and infrastructure requirements while still ensuring high quality potable water supplies and sewage disposal and treatment. Gregoire Lake is located 35 km south of Fort McMurray and is already tied into the municipal water system. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is actively bringing sanitary services out to Gregoire Lake Estates which is located 1.72 km from Gregoire Lake Provincial Park.
Gregoire Lake Provincial Park offers 140 campsites to the public, of those 68 currently have water hook-ups onsite, trailer/sani dump, shower building/store, shop yard and staff residences. This project would eliminate the need to truck waste off site. It would tie in all facilities that currently require sanitary service, allow for the full servicing of some of the campsites and ensure it was sized accordingly to accommodate potential future development.
The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from Proponents who demonstrate that they are qualified to provide design and construction administration for providing sanitary and gas service to Gregoire Lake Provincial Park. The chosen Proponent will assist the Alberta Environment and Parks in assessing current conditions in order to provide sanitary and gas service to Gregoire Lake Provincial Park.
• Gregoire lake PP would want to tie in approximately 4 buildings with both sanitary and natural gas services with the opportunity to add more facilities in the future.
• Provide sanitary service for the existing trailer sani-dump station as well as 68 sites and have the opportunity to add more in the future.
