2020.Engineering Consultants - Request for Prequalification For Engineering Consultants

Wheatland County (“the County”) is looking to use this pre-qualification process to establish eligibility for consultants to bid on Wheatland County capital projects for Engineering Consulting. Acceptance by the County on this RFPQ, does not guarantee that approved consultants will receive work from The County.

This process will ensure that all consultants eligible to receive work assignments or opportunities on County Engineering capital projects in the disciplines identified in this RFPQ are professionally qualified to perform the required services.

All firms that wish to work on County capital projects must be pre-qualified as detailed in Schedule 3. This pre-qualification only relates to disciplines that are identified in this document. Only those firms who have been pre-qualified in accordance with this documentation will be permitted to bid Wheatland County Engineering capital projects.

In a typical year, the capital works program includes nine to thirteen kilometres of grade construction in-house plus an additional six to eight kilometres by contract, ten kilometres of base course and paving, replacement of four bridge sized culverts. Replacement, upgrades, and new infrastructure related to Municipal (Hamlet) streets, water distribution and sanitary/storm sewer collection systems as well as water treatment and sewage treatment facilities.
