Note to Tenderers: Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage physical distancing, the bid receiving unit in Vancouver will remain open but with limited staff and limited hours: Monday to Fridays, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time).

Work Description:
Work to be carried out under this contract includes the reconstruction of wharf and approach structures.
Work generally consists of: - Mobilisation / demobilization - Supply and paint handrail sections - Supply, remove and replace asphalt surfacing with new asphalt - Repair concrete wharf decking - Supply, remove and replace treated timber stringers - Supply, remove and replace treated timber pile-caps - Repair treated timber pile-cap - Supply, remove and replace treated timber cross-bracings - Supply, remove and replace treated timber horizontal bracings - Repair treated timber bracing - Repair treated timber bearing pile wrapping - Repair concrete pile footing - Fill repair under concrete pile footing - Remove and dispose of existing treated timber ramp section
- Supply and install new treated timber pile-cap - Supply and install new pre-cast concrete deck panel
Optional work items that may be carried out under this contract includes: - Supply, remove and replace treated timber bearing piles
- Supply and install new treated timber bearing piles - Supply, remove and replace handrail sections - Supply and install new wave wall cover plates
Site Visit There is no scheduled site visit. However, it is recommended that bidders visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work, and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site, as well as the nature and extent of the work.
Important Note: Travel to and from the site is at the bidders own expense and risk. Bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves and complying with public health protocols in effect for COVID-19, including travel restrictions.
Delivery Date:
All Mandatory Work Items including clean-up and demobilization must be completed by March 20, 2021.
All Option Work Items including clean-up and demobilization must be completed by the later of, 3 weeks after completion of all Mandatory Work Items, or 5 weeks after award of Option Work Items.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $500,001 and $1 000,000.
