2021 7MLRC BIO STUDY - 7 Mile Landfill and Recycling Center Biological Assessment

The required scope of the biological study includes an overall assessment and inventory of all Environmentally Valuable Resources (EVR's) within the downstream/downgradient receiving environment from 7 Mile Landfill and Recycling Center (7MLRC). This primarily includes the marsh area up to the stream and requires assessment over multiple seasons (growing season and winter). The EVR's include both plant and animal species in both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. It also includes historical, cultural and scenic values. Attached in the posting is the BC government's brochure describing EVR's.

Also attached is the Information Requirements Table (IRT) that came out of the pre-application meeting with BC Ministry of Environment for the 7MLRC Operational Certificate amendment. Highlighted are the biological components that need to be covered in the Technical Assessment Report (TAR) which the Regional District of Mount Waddington requires for its final application to update 7MLRC's Operational Certificate

Proposals will be evaluated for cost, hours of field work, familiarity with the study area and participation potential for Kwakiutl First Nations members.

Those parties wishing to participate in this Request For Proposal process must register with the Regional District of Mount Waddington by December 30, 2020 at 12:00.
