Description

The District invites detailed Proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms ("Proponents") with expertise in providing creek and urban stormwater network flood hazard assessment, flood mitigation planning, and sustainable asset management.

The purpose of this project is to develop a comprehensive flood mitigation plan for the Mackay Creek drainage area within the Grousewoods and Cleveland neighbourhoods in the District - refer to Section 23.2 (Study Area).

The flood mitigation plan will consider and build on previous hazard and risk assessments including existing debris geohazard mitigation works and drainage infrastructure. The plan will apply a risk-informed lens to identify the preferred suite of structural and non-structural mitigation measures. The plan will include an implementation section that uses flood risk management and asset management principles to specify a prioritized list of cost-effective actions for the District over specified timeline.
