Description

TRIUMF in Vancouver, Canada is building a new cryogenic experiment that uses liquid helium as a primary cooling medium. To supply the liquid helium cryostat from an existing helium liquefaction plant, we require a liquid helium transfer line of around 30 m length. Part of the return gas from the cryostat shall be used to cool down a radiation shield to minimize heat load to the liquid helium and therefore reduce liquid helium boil-off.
