Description

a) Project Background- Roughly 600,000 rural and urban-fringe Albertans, with varying levels of knowledge around best management practises for water well management, rely on private water wells for their drinking water, household uses and for watering their livestock. These private well owners are solely responsible for managing and maintaining their water wells. Working Well is a province-wide program that encourages and supports private well owners in the proper operation, maintenance and management of their water wells, to assist them in protecting their groundwater supplies. This is done through hands-on workshops and educational resource materials.
