Tenders must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on April 14, 2021 at the County office in Wetaskiwin, AB.
It shall be the Bidder’s responsibility to confirm with the County that its Tender has been received prior to Tender closing. Tenders will be opened at 2:01 p.m. local time on April 14, 2021 at the County office in Wetaskiwin, AB.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person public tender opening is cancelled. In the interest of fairness and transparency, a minimum of three (3) County employees will attend the opening to record the results.
Facsimile changes to the unit price schedule will be accepted. Facsimile (FAX) messages may be sent to (780) 352-3486, marked “ATTENTION Mr. Neil Powell, CONTRACT OPENING” on a copy of “TENDER AMENDMENT FORM” found in this Tender package.
As per the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 General Tender Requirements, Stipulations and Recommendations, any faxed Amendments must be received one half hour before the closing time and date. The County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 and the County accept no responsibility for the confidentiality of the faxed changes.
The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Tenders and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The County reserves the right to accept a Tender other than the lowest Tender without stating reasons. The County of Wetaskiwin has the right to award the work to whomever it chooses, in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the County deems appropriate.
By the act of submitting its bid, the Tenderer agrees that any claim the Tenderer may have in relation to the award of the work by the County is limited to damages for the reasonable cost of preparing the bid and that the Tenderer has no right to seek loss of anticipated profit.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the County may consider any other factor besides price and capability to perform the Work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision including, but not limited to the following:
· Total Tendered Price
· Experience with Similar work
·Past performance with the County of Wetaskiwin and/or references
·Start and Completion dates
·List of Equipment to be dedicated to the project.
