The objective of the RFP is to select the proposal that will result in the best overall value and fit for the University, as determined by the University. The university is seeking a cost effective, flexible, stable, secure, solution for internet and Wi-Fi for all STU Residences. The goal is to provide students with an "at home" experience; meaning the service provides students with uninterrupted service as they travel from one room to another within the residence. The solution would be the
necessary infrastructure, equipment, technology requirements, support, and monitoring.
The timeframe for beginning deployment of this solution at STU is Summer 2021 with completion no later than Aug 15, 2021.
The secondary intent is to make this award available to the members of the NB/PEI Educational Computer Network (ECN) for which they may also choose to purchase from the partner. The ECN consortium consists of the following institutions, located in the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island:
