Description

The Municipality of the County of Kings is seeking interested and experienced Proponents for the implementation of an Enterprise Asset Management system. The EAM can be self-hosting by the Municipality, or a cloud-hosted solution, so long as all data resides in Canada.

The Municipality is a large, primarily rural Municipality in Nova Scotia. Our major water and wastewater assets consist of 8 sewage treatment plants, 2 water treatment facilities, approximately 75 lift stations, approximately 160 km of gravity main sewer pipes, approximately 56 km of force main sewer pipes and 28 km of water pipes.

Most roadways in the Municipality are owned and operated by the Provincial government, however the Municipality does own 26 km of road and 18 km of sidewalk. The Municipality owns 80 km of fibre-optic cable and associated networking equipment. In addition, the Municipality operates a fleet of approximately 20 vehicles, with an array of auxiliary attachments.

Implementation of a new EAM software platform is one component in the asset management plan for the Municipality that aims to optimize the management of all of our asset classes, including operation, maintenance, replacement and capital budgeting
