The maximum email file size that Parks Canada is capable of receiving is

15 megabytes . The Bidder is responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of the emailed bid due to file size.

The Bidder should be cognisant of the size of the email as a whole, and not only the attachments. Please take into consideration that some attachments, when sent, may be resized during the email transfer. If the email size is too large, the Bidder should send the bid in multiple emails properly labeled with the solicitation number, project name, and indicate how many emails are included (ex. 1 of 2).

Emails with links to bid documents will not be accepted. Bid documents must be sent as email attachments.

REQUIREMENT

Parks Canada requires Work of this Contract comprises demolition and replacement of existing Red Pine Lake Dam. It also includes dredging work starting at the shore of Royal Mile Drive property at Kennisis River to Red Pine Lake Dam site at downstream of Red Pine Lake.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value

over & above $5,000,001, Taxes extra .

Period of Contract

Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than

July 23, 2023 . 

MANDATORY SITE VISIT

It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Parks Canada Agency Royal Mile Drive, just off the West Shore Road (45.20730, -78.67787) on

May 19, 2021

.

The site visit will begin at

10:00 am EDT

.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than

48 hours prior to meeting date and time

to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
