Description

The WCB is seeking a Contractor to complete a residential home modification in Calgary, Alberta as per the specifications and drawings contained in this IFB.
• Abate hazardous materials both inside and outside as identified by the hazmat report where required and affected by the scope of work of this project.
• Supply and installation of all material and systems described herein to construct a 49 sq. ft. single storey wood frame and a 51 sq. ft. two storey ICF addition with ICF concrete basement building additions.
• Remove existing rear deck and construct a new approximate 293 sq. ft. raised rear deck with metal railing.
• Modify the interior of the existing 1912 sq. ft. two storey home as indicated on the drawings to upgrade the interior to barrier free accessibility.
• Remove and replace millwork as indicated on the drawings.
• Installation of all mechanical, electrical systems, and interior residential elevator along with an exterior barrier free lift in accordance with the requirements outlined on the drawings.
• Remove exterior wall siding, soffit and fascia finish on the east and north side of the home and replace with new as per drawings.
• Remove and replace asphalt roof shingles on the east and north sides of the existing roof as well as for the enlarged lower sloped roof and replace with new as per drawings and specifications.
• Provide new concrete sidewalks and pads as per drawings.
• Reinstate existing sod disturbed by construction and other landscaping as indicated on the drawings.
• Possible alternate construction as indicated in Alternate Section, subject to pricing approval.
• The intent of this project is to meet the “CSA B651-18 Accessible Design For the Built Environment”.
