Description

Community and Social Services (CSS) delivers a program called Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) for individuals with a permanent disability that substantially limits their ability to earn a livelihood.

To qualify for AISH, an individual’s application is evaluated, and on occasion, consulting services are required in making well informed, fair and timely decisions regarding applications for benefits and to clarify issues related to the person’s disability.

The Province is interested in contracting with a qualified and experienced assessment service provider and consultant to provide a Medical Consulting Service for AISH. One Contract will be awarded under the RFP to serve the entire Province.

Proponents’ organizations and/or their assessment professionals must have/be:

A minimum of three (3) years’ assessment experience with adults who have a severe impairment of mental, cognitive or physical functioning, or a combination thereof, which causes substantial limitation in the person’s ability to earn a livelihood. For assessment professionals with less than three years experience, the assessment must be reviewed and approved by someone within the organization who meets the minimum criteria.

A minimum of two (2) years business consulting experience.

Members in good standing in, who can provide registration numbers for, the professional organizations overseeing their proficiency and competency to perform assessments.

Payment of contracted services will be on a Fee for Service basis.

Services are expected to commence January 1, 2022.

Proposals are to be prepared according to the Request for Proposals. The Request for Proposals must be obtained from the APC Tendering System.

The proposal submission deadline is before 12:01 p.m., Noon, Local Time, October 6, 2021. Proposals must be submitted electronically, via email, in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat format by the RFP Closing Date and Time to the following email address: CSS.RFP-Proposals@gov.ab.ca

The email subject line should indicate that it is a Proposal and include the RFP number and title along with the Contract and Procurement Specialist’s name: Lizane Wells
