P202021 - Sewer Separation Program- Bayers Road Pocket and Bayne Street Stormwater Study- Engineering Services

Proposals submitted electronically in PDF format via email marked: “RFP# P20.2021 – “Sewer Separation Program – Bayers Road Pocket and Bayne Street Stormwater Study - Engineering Services” Addressed to Halifax Water Attn: Heather MacLean, Procurement Services, will be received until 2:00 p.m. Atlantic Time, Thursday, September 16, 2021 for the above RFP as per the specifications; and terms; and conditions.

The scope of work involves the following:

• Complete a network capacity analysis
• Prepare concept designs to address Bayne Street and Kempt Road current surcharging issues
• Establish reserve capacity in the stormwater system and downstream combined sewer overflow system including preliminary and detailed design
• Complete investigations and preliminary designs for the projects listed in Table 3.1
• Full detailed design of the Mic Mac Street project listed in Table 3.1
• In subsequent years Halifax Water may proceed with the full detailed design of the remaining projects listed in Table 3.1

Each Proponent must completely satisfy itself as to the exact nature and existing conditions of the project specific requirements and for the extent and quality of work to be performed. Failure to do so will not relieve the successful Proponent of its obligation to carry out the provisions of the contract.

Proponents are welcome to attend a voluntary Pre-Proposal Conference to be held virtually, September 7th, 2021, at 1:00 pm AST. The project manager and other Halifax Water staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the project. Interested Proponents are asked to confirm their attendance by email in which a Microsoft Teams link will be provided for the virtual pre-proposal conference at that time.
