Description

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for a team of an Architect as Managing Consultant, Civil Engineer, and Electrical Engineer. Island Health will engage directly with each of the consultants in the successful proponent team.

The Premise of this project is to optimize parking/traffic flow (increase parking capacity) to meet user group needs at the Nanaimo Health Unit on Grant Ave. Design features will include but not limited to:
· New optimized parking lot
· Lighting in line with NRGH site standards
· New Electric Vehicle chargers (minimum 2)
· Signage
· Low maintenance landscaping
· Foot traffic egress routes
· Designated delivery routes
· Drainage
· Substrate/road base upgrades as needed
· Curbing/sidewalks
· Designed for climate change adaptation (See Appendix A)
This project needs to have phasing options to accommodate an active site and a potential phased construction delivery.
