Description

The City of Lacombe Community Services Department invites proposals for the provision of Concession Services in Michener Park. The City of Lacombe owns and operates the Michener Recreation Area, situated in the community’s west area, just south of Highway 12. It encompasses eight ball diamonds, two soccer pitches, a skateboard park, horseshoe pit, 37 stall campground, and day-use pond area.

The area is a hub of activity, hosting several regular competitive sports games and tournaments. It also features an annual farmer’s market, which runs every Friday between the May long weekend and October. The concession area and washrooms is located in the central sports field area. The request is limited to concession services and does not provide exclusive catering rights to the park.

OVERVIEW

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify and rank potential providers of concession services for Michener Park. The City of Lacombe reserves the right to decline all proposals submitted in this process, negotiate with any proponent, enter into a contract with any proponent for the services described in this document, or proposed, or otherwise deemed mutually agreeable to the parties.
