Description

The Contractor’s services will be utilized to review existing programs and data and then complete an actuarial valuation that will be used to estimate future financial liabilities of Alberta’s overall Disaster Recovery Program. The level of detail in the valuation will include but is not limited to:

• Likelihood, probability, impact, and financial cost before and after cost-sharing with the Government of Canada through the DFAA;
• A financial model to predict the impact of future disasters;
• Scaled probabilities with associated costs, to include but not limited to, wildfires, extraordinary windstorms, and floods; and
• A comparison of Disaster Recovery Program and private industry effectiveness and efficiency ratios such as operating ratios and combined ratios.
