12749 - Engineering and Design for Outfall Replacement

The City of Prince Rupert is seeking proposals from qualified proponents in response to this request for Proposal for the provision of Services to be carried out within the required schedule set out herein for the replacement of a 450mm Sanitary Sewer Outfall L, approximately 500ft long, along the end of Seal Cove Road. The work is considered "urgent" as there is major separation in the encasement and the pipe itself is a key piece in the city's sanitary infrastructure. The sanitary sewer outfall has failed and needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Currently the main is active, but still leaking. Proponent must supply schedule and availability to start and end design works and provide a cost estimate to budget for the replacement in 2022.

Scope of Services

The services will comprise the following scope of work for the Project including, without limiting:
(i) Supply labor/resources to complete a full replacement design and cost estimate
(ii) City is open to full replacement, repair and/or pipe bursting of current Outfall
(iii) City will historical data, and videos of the Outfall (ASB Drawing provided)
(iv) Cost estimate to be Class B
(v) Follow all safety rules and regulations
(vi) MOE and DFO will be required to be consulted during design phase
(vii) Video of current state of outfall to be provided to winning proponent
(viii) Any additional data gathering would be up to proponent to preform
