RFPIANDISTUDY - Engineering Services for Sewer System Infiltration and Inflow (I/I) Study

The objective of this RFP is to solicit Proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide engineering consulting services for the Hebron- Dayton Sewer System Infiltration and Inflow (I/I) Study in the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth (MODY).

Services that are required (but not limited to) are as follows:
 Attend the pre-proposal site meeting.
 Conduct observations during dry and wet weather conditions.
 Conduct video inspection and smoke testing on specific areas.
 As part of the study, you may need to inspect home sewerage systems, for that, you will send letters to the residents; coordinate and conduct inspections.
 Conduct flow monitoring and flow metering.
 Conduct data analysis.
 Deliver engineering assessment report with recommendations. Provide rough cost estimates for the remedial works required to address the I and I flows.
 Any other works required to do a complete professional job.

Identification of a Project team and Fee Schedule
o A project team and their hourly fee must be identified that will liaise with MODY throughout the entire life of the project. Once created and approved, no substitutions can be made without the written consent of MODY.

Pre-Proposal Meeting There will be a Pre-Proposal site meeting on November 24, 2021. The tour will start from MODY’s Administrative Building at 932 Highway 1, Hebron, Nova Scotia, B5A 5Z5 at 1:00 PM. While it is preferred to have one site meeting but if for any reason a proponent cannot attend the scheduled site meeting, they should immediately contact MODY to arrange for a separate site meeting before RFP closing date.
