Description

RFB for the provision of Soft Body Armour (SBA) Systems and additional replacement carriers to protect Ministry staff from ballistic and stab threats
Scope of Work
The objective of this RFB is to invite prospective Bidders to submit bids for the provision of soft body armour systems and additional replacement carriers to protect Ministry staff from ballistic and stab threats.

The RFB consists of the following three (3) categories:
• Category 1: SBA Ballistic Threat Level II with Spike Protection Level II
• Category 2: SBA Ballistic Threat Level II
• Category 3: SBA Ballistic Threat Level IIIA

Bidders can submit bids for one or more category. Each category will be evaluated and awarded separately. There can be a maximum of six (6) contracts.

Bidders wishing to submit a Bid for more than one (1) style of Systems must submit a separate Bid for each style being proposed.

The Preferred Bidder will be required to enter into separate agreements with each (i) Ministry of the Solicitor General (Ministry), (ii) Ministry of Community, Children and Social Services (MCCSS), (iii) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) (iv) Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (NDMNRF) and (v) Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).

The Ministry will hold a voluntary Bidder information session by teleconference on the date and time below:

April 14th, 2022, 11:00 a.m. (Toronto time).
Interested Bidders are asked to register with the Ministry Contact identified in section 1.1.8 via email no later than 4:00 p.m. Toronto time on April 13th, 2022. Upon registration, the teleconference information will be provided.

The purpose of the voluntary Bidder information session is to assist prospective Bidders in understanding the procurement process in a formal tendering environment and to provide an overview of the Ministry’s requirements, as set out in the RFB. All interested Bidders are strongly encouraged to register for this voluntary Bidder information session.

Any questions related to the Deliverables will not be answered during the Bidder information session. Bidders are requested to submit their questions relating to the Deliverables in writing via e-mail to the Ministry Contact identified in section 1.1.8.

The responses to all questions received by the Bidder’s deadline for questions will be posted on Jaggaer as an addendum to this RFB as per the schedule outlined in section 1.1.14.
