Description

The Government of Alberta (GoA) currently secures payment processes through an agreement with a service provider, the successful vendor from the 2011 competitive process for Merchant Services (MS). The GoA MS program, including administration and contracts, is centrally managed by the Central Electronic Payment Administration (CEPA) unit within Service Alberta.

The existing MS contract is set to expire September 14, 2022. However, as and if required, the Province may extend the contract under the same terms and conditions for a one-year transition period to enable the smooth transition of Services to a new service provider.

The Province requires the Services as set out in the RFP. The Contract that results from the RFP shall be for a term of five years with an option to renew the Contract up to six additional years at the sole discretion of the Province.

The anticipated commencement of Services is September 15, 2022. The Province, in its discretion, will confirm actual start and end dates for the Services upon finalizing the Contract.
