22.0119 - RFP#22.0119 - Pointe-Aux-Pins Acres – Progressive Design Build

The County is looking to engage an experienced and innovative design-builder which possesses the skills and experience required to work with the County using a progressive design-build delivery model to design and construct a new agricultural arena facility located in Strathcona County north of the hamlet of Sherwood Park (the “Project”).
The County’s Council has approved an initial facility program and has committed to a budget for the County to obtain schematic design services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Phase 1 Deliverables”), and for the County to obtain final detailed professional design and construction work, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Phase 2 Deliverables”). The Phase 1 Deliverables are to include a summary design report. The desired Project facility concept includes:
• An agricultural facility that will support a wide variety of community-driven groups, consisting of an arena building, an attached animal housing component, as well as administration and support spaces necessary for proper function of the facility.
