Description

The SciAps LIBS Z-902 (laser induced breakdown spectroscopy) is a modern handheld unit that uses laser for positive material identification (PMI). It is able to measure carbon, which was previously only available by using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) systems which are (large, heavier, time consuming and leave large burn scars on the samples). It identifies all other elements from the periodic table in various metal alloys. It is approved for use on pipelines because it is the fastest, most accurate and most portable analysis system available that meets control standards.
