TOD2024-01 - Digby Victoria Street Road Resurfacing Tender No. TOD2024-01, closing January 29, 2024

The Work to be completed under this contract includes the following:
.1 Resurfacing existing asphalt paving on Victoria Street, between the Digby County Rail Trail crossing and the Raquette Road intersection.
.2 Some new asphalt paving to widen part of Victoria Street in the same area.
.3 One pavement infill patch on the N side of the existing campground driveway entrance.
.4 Painted pavement markings for the area resurfaced.
.5 Reinstatement of all disturbed surfaces.
.6 The work is located as shown on drawings 23-TDIG-VICST 

The major items in this Work are:

.1 Remove by milling top 40mm of existing asphalt pavement, 3080 square m total area. Dispose of milled material by stockpiling at nearby Digby Public Works Victoria St. yard. Saw cut edge of existing pavement along length of paved shoulder widening.
.2 Widen new paved shoulder area with 50mm Type B-HF asphalt, 150mm Type 1 Gravel (@100% SPD), Type 2 gravel (as required), reinstatement of gravel shoulder, 155 square m total area.
.3 Resurface entire paved area with 40mm Type C-HF asphalt, 3235 square m total area.
.4 Provide asphalt infill patch 90mm thick along N edge of existing campground driveway, 25 square m total area.
.5 Adjust existing sanitary manhole covers to finished surface, adding 1m asphalt apron around frame, 4 total.
.6 Permanent pavement marking.
.7 All environmental and traffic controls and reinstatement required during construction.
.8 Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits to perform the work.
.9 Once substantial performance has been issued, Contractor to complete all deficiencies within 14 calendar days of the Contractor being made aware of the deficiency by the Owner or Consultant. If the Contractor does not repair the deficiency with the 14 calendar day period, the Owner has the right to have outside forces complete the work and deduct the value of this work from the Contract Price.
.10 All related work and incidentals with the above.

Project work schedule:
.1 The Work must be commenced by April 15, 2024.
.2 The Work must be substantially completed by June 15, 2024.
