Description

The thermal and magnetic survey objectives are described as follows:

• Identify and locate buried, hidden and improperly abandoned oil and gas wells that could potentially jeopardize public safety and the environment.
• Quantify concentrations of methane potentially migrating or leaking from active and abandoned wells and/or any subsurface infrastructure
• Map newly found gas-migration areas and newly found wells
Scope of Work
• Develop a survey plan for the proposed survey areas
• Describe the methodology to capture and detect gas migrations and locate buried oil and gas wells and its associated infrastructure such as flow lines and gas lines
• Describe the methodology to locate abandoned wells (buried or hidden) and measure gas concentrations/readings from abandoned wells
• Develop georeferenced maps indicating the location of abandoned wells and gas concentrations in the event drone or aircraft-mounted gas detecting technology is to be used

• Hold safety and project updates weekly meetings with MNRF representatives
• Provide a monthly project management report
• Prepare a final report indicating approach/methodology, data processing approach, analysis, accuracy of the results, number of wells found, anomalies, safety and health considerations, gas concentrations, conclusions, and recommendations.

The responses to all questions received by the Bidder’s deadline for questions will be posted on Jaggaer as an addendum to this RFB as per the schedule outlined in section 1.1.14.
