AB-2025-00525 - RFP for One (1) 16' Wide Area Commercial Mower

The Town of Coaldale is looking to purchase One (1) 16’ Wide Area Commercial Lawn Mower to be used in Town Operations primarily by the Parks and Recreation departments. The Town maintains a wide array of greenspaces from sports fields and parks to pathways and boulevards. This unit will be one of two primary mowers that monopolizes the mowing for the Town during the summer months and will run continuously throughout the five-month season. The Mower will need to be maneuverable enough to navigate through gates and around fences, trees, park benches and different landscaping obstacles. The ability to independently lift and operate the separate cutting decks will allow the operator to maintain a larger area while limiting the additional manual cutting of tight areas. Most of the cutting will require the Mower to be driven on the streets to get to the desired locations however the ease in which the unit can be loaded/unloaded onto a trailer will be considered. We are also looking at the ease of maintenance for this machine as downtime throughout our limited summer season is a concern. The ability for the operator to keep the decks clean, the ease of which blades are accessed and any conveniences that minimize the Mower downtime (ie. Air intake blow back) are well regarded. As this unit will be in our fleet for a number of years the timeliness of warranty and repair work will be weighed as well.
