Notice of Intent to Award a Contract

Notice is hereby given that the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to CANNEPP Sales Ltd. (CleaverBrooks) (the “Service Provider”) for the following:

James Waste Water Treatment Plant – Boiler Control System

Scope of Services:

Supply, Install, Test & Demonstrate Cleaver Brooks Hawk 4000 Control Package and 150HP Boiler.
Remove existing boiler tubes; clean and prep tube sheets and tube holes.
Install boiler tubes in accordance with manufacturer’s specification and as required by the applicable boiler and pressure vessel codes.
Hydro test post repairs and complete repair report for TSBC.
Turn over boiler to planned maintenance team to wrap up the servicing.
Complete service reports identifying services provided and all TSBC documentation.

Rationale for Contemplating a Direct Award

The City is contemplating a direct award with the Service Provider for the following reasons:

Both boilers communicate to each other and the control system needs to be the same and completed by the manufacturer to prevent any other issues arising.
With the objectives of public security and safety and the protection of human, animal and plant life and health.

Contract Value:

The value of the contract is expected not to exceed $170,000.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
