ENLEVEMENT ET DESTRUCTION DES ORDURES MENAGERES
Rothesay is seeking qualified Contractors to submit bids for Contract EHS-2025-001, for waste and compost collection and transportation services to be provided by the Contractor to Rothesay to dispose of residential waste and compost generated in Rothesay, such service to be provided to each and every single family and two family residence in Rothesay including each household or seasonal dwelling fronting on every road whether owned Provincially or Municipally. Solid waste and compost from
Private Lanes may be required to be collected at the intersecting Public Street. Waste collection and transportation services under this agreement and in accordance with the specifications provided herein, shall begin the 1st day of January 2026 and shall continue until the 31st day of December 2028 unless both parties agree to an earlier termination of this agreement. Rothesay, at its absolute discretion, at the end of the term of this agreement may wish to extend the agreement for an
additional two (2) years, that peri
od between the 1st day of January 2029 and the 31st day of December 2030. The extension option shall be subject to negotiation between Rothesay and the Contractor for changes in level of service, collection and transportation methods. The option to extend the agreement for an additional two years is at the absolute discretion of Rothesay based on the price tendered.
Bidders shall submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total tender price including HST in the form of Bid Bond, Certified Cheque or Cash.

Each tender shall be submitted on or before the closing date of July 8th, 2025, at 2:30pm.
Interested bidders must register to bid via email at timcolwell@rothesay.ca. Bidders who do not register to bid before the deadline will be disqualified.
Tenders will be opened publicly in the Town Hall immediately following the tender closing time.
