The City of Delta (“the City”) is developing the replacement of the Winskill Aquatic and Fitness Centre with a new larger upgrade facility that is approximately 100,000 square foot two-storey structural steel and mass timber building supported by micro-piles and concrete foundations, with a building envelop exterior designed to achieve the “Net Zero Carbon approach, to accommodate a gymnasium, a 10 lane / 25 meter swimming pool, a leisure pool, teach pool, accessible hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and steam room, waterslide, aquatic change rooms, enhanced fitness areas and weight room, multipurpose spaces, area for the Boys and Girls Club as well as enhanced parking and ancillary landscape upgrades. On completion of the new facility the existing facility will be demolished and will be replaced with upgraded parking lots and additional landscaping.
